Appointments to Aviation Development and Three-runway System Advisory CommitteeThe Government announced today (July 26) the membership of the new term of the Aviation Development and Three-runway System Advisory Committee (ADTAC) for two years with effect from August 1, 2017.A total of 15 incumbent members are re-appointed, namely Dr Moses Cheng Mo-chi, Professor Edwin Cheng Tai-chiu, Ms Chiang Lai-yuen, Professor Michael Fung Ka-yiu, Professor Ho Kin-chung, Mr Thomas Ho Kwok-kwan, Mr Edward Ho Man-tat, Dr Hung Wing-tat, Mr Kwok Kwok-chuen, Dr Peter Lam Kin-ngok, Ms Julia Lau Man-kwan, Professor Joseph Lee Hun-wei, Mr Andrew Leung Chi-kwan, Mr Brian David Li Man-bun and Mr Anthony Wong See-ho. Five new members are appointed to the ADTAC in the new term. They are Mr Chan Chi-chiu, Mr Rupert Hogg, Mr Tang King-shing, Mr Alex Koo Pok-sing and Mr Samuel Lau Kin-pui. "We welcome the appointment of the new members and the re-appointment of the incumbent members. Members of the ADTAC are experts from various sectors including aviation, tourism and hotels, logistics and transport, engineering, architecture, quantity surveying, business and finance, environment, legal and academic and research. The ADTAC will continue to provide an effective platform for them to offer valuable advice that would facilitate the development of the aviation industry and the implementation of the Three-Runway System (3RS) at the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)," a spokesman for the Government said. "We also wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the five outgoing members - Mr Bernard Charnwut Chan, Mr Raymond Chan Kin-sek, Mr Ivan Chu Kwok-leung, Mr Josef Ko Koon-cheong and Mr William Ma Wing-kai - for their valuable contributions to the work of the ADTAC during their tenure," the spokesman added. The ADTAC was established in 2015 to advise the Government on broad policy matters concerning Hong Kong's civil aviation and the development of the HKIA, as well as issues concerning the implementation of the 3RS at the HKIA. A total of seven meetings were held in the past two-year term.
