STL attends Global Sustainable Transport Forum in Beijing

The Secretary for Transport and Logistics, Mr Lam Sai-hung, will leave for Beijing this evening (September 24) to attend the Global Sustainable Transport Forum (2023) organised by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China.

The two-day (September 25 to 26) forum will bring together transport authorities from various countries and related businesses under the theme "Sustainable Transport: Working Together to Promote Global Development", to create a high-level platform to promote global co-operation in the transport sector and promote the implementation of global development initiatives, such as building a global partnership for sustainable transport and accelerating the green and low-carbon transformation of global transport.

At a thematic session on Tuesday (September 26), Mr Lam will share the latest progress and direction of Hong Kong's developments in smart mobility and smart logistics.

While in Beijing, he will also hold a sideline meeting with leaders of the Ministry of Transport and visit a company involved in the research and development of autonomous driving technology.

Mr Lam will return to Hong Kong on Tuesday evening.
